Who we are
pikespeak.info is an independent trip-planning guide run by the publisher named on the About page. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the City of Colorado Springs, the Pikes Peak Highway, the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb or any tour operator or hotel linked here. Names are used only to say what they are.
What the site is for
The pages and tools help you plan a visit to Pikes Peak. They are information for planning, not official notices, tickets or advice. The planner, the hike-time calculator and the cost comparison work from published rules, rate sheets and a planning model. The times they show are estimates for planning, not a timetable. Your own pace, the weather, traffic and the road can change them.
Check the official source on the day
Prices, opening hours, permit rules, closures, timetables and the weather are set by others and can change at any time. Before you go, check the official pages we link to: the city's road-status page for whether the Highway is open, the Cog Railway for fares and departures, the city's reservation page for Highway permits and the Manitou Incline, and the National Weather Service for the forecast. On the mountain, follow the staff, the signs and your own judgement. Altitude, cold, lightning and snow are real risks at 14,000 feet, and your safety is your own responsibility.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided as they are. We work to keep them right and current, but we do not promise that every figure, time or rule is complete, current or free of error, or that the site and its tools are always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or inconvenience that comes from relying on them. If you find a mistake, write to [email protected] and we will look at it.
Partner links
Some links to tours, hotels and car rentals are partner links, marked as such. If you book through one, the partner may pay us a commission. The partner pays it; it is not added to your price. We sell nothing ourselves: the booking, the price, the availability and the terms are the partner's (GetYourGuide, Viator, Stay22 with Booking.com, or Klook), and any question about a booking goes to them. Links to official sites such as the city, the Cog Railway or the Weather Service are not partner links and earn us nothing.
Using the tools inside an AI assistant
Our planning tools can also be used inside ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants. The same terms apply there. The assistant decides when to use a tool and how to word the answer, and it may shorten or rephrase what our server returned, so for anything that matters open the linked page or the official source. We may change the tools or switch them off at any time and do not guarantee that they stay available. The tools are for trip planning, not for copying the site in bulk. Your conversation with the assistant is governed by its provider's own terms and privacy policy; what we receive and keep is described on the Privacy page.
